Your financial help is crucial to the success of this project.
Neighbors and supporters across the city are committed to rasing the funds necessary for the bridge, a wayside park, and donating these funds to the Third Street Pedestrian Bridge Project, Inc. or to the City. We want to encourage other grassroots groups across the city to get involved in making their neighborhood a better place, preserving the Moscow we know and love. The estimated cost of the bridge installed, is between $60,000 and $80,000. We have been working with Roscoe Bridge of MIssoula, MT that manufactures these bridges, does the engineering, and transports the final product for installation. Neighbors have committed through personal solicitations, grant solicitations and fund raisers to try to meet this challenge.
Funds that go to Third Street Pedestrian Bridge Project, Inc. are solely for this project. Any donations to the City go directly to a city dedicated fund for construction of the bridge.
Now that we have 501c3 non-profit status, anyone who donated to the city may withdraw that donation and donate to us if they wish to. In the unlikely event that the required funds needed for this project are not raised, the city is logging donations so they may be refunded.
